I am so sorry to how you were treated by one person. When I have some negative or embarrassing situations, I try to think about how I can learn from them (i.e. whether or I need to be more prepared or whether or not I need to be very careful not to make others feel as some others have made me feel. Furthermore, it can be a lesson in controlling one’s own reactions to situations that in some cases, are out of my control. It seems like you did this.
You wrote that you liked the library the best because people came because they are interested in learning cultures. The LLI members were as well, weren’t they, as they walked in voluntarily to the LLI. How would you describe the difference between the two experiences?
